A new chapter: Of research and optimism

Well, as I mentioned earlier, I felt sick as a dog earlier this week. But Monday I received some fantastic news which totally made up for it! I got accepted for the research position I applied for at school! I'm excited, its a physiology lab and will involve animal care, so I feel as if its good experience either way. Since it is a 20hr/week minimum dedication, though, I did have to quit my job (put in my 2 weeks notice today!).
I will now be poor'n'pathetic, but maybe this'll get me to be more frugal and also less of a fatty (I swear most of the money I spend is on food--ridiculous!)
Besides all of this, school has started off well. I like my classes so far as well as my professors.
Looks like an exciting semester ahead. :)

  1. Congratulations! Hope you enjoy and learn from it :) Do they not pay you for research at your school?

    1. I do know some people who are payed, but all of my friends are unpaid, and are doing research for credit (so we are actually paying to do it, haha -_-) However, over the summer I may have an opportunity to get paid if I get one of those summer research scholarships, which would be cool.

    1. Supplements are so expensive! All I get is glucosamine/chondroiton and fish oil for them and it costs me an arm and a leg. -_-'
